The Arc Starfighter performed its maiden flight within the year, and was heralded as a great development in the military might of the Xothic fleet. Xothic community, it has been two years since we have been fighting
against the Commorium, two long years of bitter strife, during which our
successes have been almost as many as our loses. Ever since one of our mining colonies,
Xartax, was destroyed by those pitiful, spineless cowards, we have
declared vengeance upon the ones who brought death in our midst. But, now comes
a time, to look back and wonder what exactly drove those pests to such an
action. What could those miscreants have possibly thought they would stand to
accomplish by making the Xothic their foes? </span><br />

to us Xothic, especially after two years of war, that the people of the
Commorium are neither the bravest nor the smartest individuals. How many
times have we managed to attack them unawares by using a superior strategy that
made them lose the ground they had won? How many times have our ships leveled
their colonies to the ground because they had failed to properly defend them?
With pilots as obtuse as those fools from the Commorium, a mere glimpse of our
colony should have made them aware of the technological superiority of our people. It might just have been that our people were killed due to extreme fear and a desire to neutralize a threat that was not there. At least,
not in the beginning.</span><br />

the Commorium causing explosions and destroying their own buildings by
accident. Our spies have witnesses such events on numerous occasions; buildings
crashing to the ground, debris and dust flying everywhere, their own people
shouting in panic. It would not be surprising if those half-wits sent missiles
instead of exploration satellites towards Xartax because they pressed the wrong
button. Upon seeing the colony destroyed, our people killed by their mistakes,
they turned tail and fled like the cowards that they are, refusing to take responsibility for their
mistakes.</span><br />

reconnaissance missions undertaken in the space surrounding the lands of the
Commorium. Never have their reports mentioned any resources of note, any mining
colonies such as ours or other harvesting plants. For a very long period of
time, our leaders have wondered whether the attack on our colony was not meant
to be destructive, but instead it was meant to conquer our colony. It has been hypothesized that the
pilots of the Commorium meant to capture the colony and force our people to become slaves for them. Upon meeting resistance, the mission was abandoned and they
opted instead to destroy what they had found, thus cutting us off from a source
of supplies as well.</span></div>

There aggressiveness is displayed in the types of weapons they choose to arm their ships and their flying style. Their starfighters are fast and maneuverable and it is said this is how Xothic pilots live their lives as well. <br />

The 74th "ViPuk" Squadron was the first set of starfighters to be sent across the great divide to fight the Commorium pilots that so viciously attacked the Xothic peoples. The 74th Squadron is quite vicious in its attacks, living up to their name "ViPuk", which is a traditional Xothic word referring to a ritual termination of young members of the tribe that cannot survive. Although this tradition has been mostly overcome in the more modern Xothic society the tenants of the ritual still live on in the "ViPuk" squadron. Their is more deaths among rookie pilots in this squadron than any other in the Xothic Fleet.<br />

The following pilots have been successful in the war against the Commorium invaders and are considered top aces by many of the media outlets in greater Xothic space. The fleet has been using their exploits to generate support for the invasion of Xothic space with the general public and in the government. Also including in this listing is the pilots special effect in the Star Crush Miniatures Starfighter Game.<br />

Delste Kalaga - Deleste has the honor of causing the first casualty in the war against the Commorium. This pilot is responsible for the destruction of the unmanned probe that was found at the site of the original attack and destruction of the Xothic mining colony on Xartax. Since this time she has accounted for four kills in various engagements with Commorium fighters and bombers. She also led the seventh wing against the Commorium planet of Forgothmen in the first attack on a Commorium homeworld called Operation Retribution.<br />
In the Star Crush game when Delste's attack causes a Critical Hit, the player may choose to discard a Critical Hit and roll 2d6 new attack dice for the discarded Critical Hit.<br />

Zatra took part in several clashes with the enemy racking up seven kills to make him the first ace of the war. He has also operated in a ground action when the 74th Squadron was called upon to support some marines in an advance on the frozen world of Vastipoole. In this operation Zatra landed his fighter in the Mountains of Tawordla. Using only his blaster pistol and chain sword he cut his way through Commorium troops who were protecting a satellite up-link station which was allocating fire from an artillery brigade,. Once he established contact with the advancing Marines and handed over the station, Zatra then fought his way back to his Starfighter and flew cover for advancing marines as they marched into the city that was their objective. For his efforts in this mission Zatra has been given the Gold Star. The word is that their is a holodrama in the works and Zatra has been asked to be an adviser on the set during the filming.<br />

His luck started during his rookie tour. On his first mission his instructor had lined him up for a killing shot, which in the "ViPuk" Squadron usually means the end of a career. Miraculously, at that moment in time, Howhazars wing man had a short in his right onboard autostablilzer, and veered into the path of the shot, took the blow on his lower hull, and immediately spun into the path of the instructor, killing the instructor. Both pilots were awarded for their bravery and promoted immediately. Later the pair were out drinking at the local 74th Squadron watering hole when the site was attacked by a long range Commorium Scout ship. The two ended up in a ditch with the base commander and threw themselves and a barrel of food stuffs over the base commander when the Commorium Scout was performing a strafing run. The barrel took the hit and the three warriors were thrown from the ditch into a nearby pond. Howhazar and his mate pulled the base commander from the pond before he could drown and the three collapsed in a heap, only to be awakened the next day by a patrol looking for the commander. Although Howhazar's mate died in the next mission they were given, Howhazar has survived by a mix of skill and wild blind luck in several other encounters since that day. <br />

known as the Xothic War, began more than two years ago, during a day that
started as peaceful as any other. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>At
about midday, our leaders received a distress signal from the Xartax mining
colony, followed briefly afterwards by communication silence. No matter what attempts
were made, it was impossible to contact the miners. One of our fastest
starships was sent to check the colony and to determine what had happened. Upon
reaching the destination colony they found all that remained of the planet: the core of the world still
burned hotly and debris floated in space. Perhaps we might have suspected an
accident – mistakenly so – had it not been for the enemy spaceship orbiting around what
had once been Xartax. The long range scout starship was on stealth mode and would
have escaped our notice had our tracking devices not revealed it. </span></div>

For more than two years we have fought, sustaining loses and saying
goodbye to many of our own good people, but we have never faltered. We will continue this
bitter war until the Commorium is brought to its knees and those who killed our

Some news from the shop. The new masters have been completed. Bob Murch has completed the masters for the four new starships that will join the Star Crush line. From left to right above are the Commorium Warp Scout, New Pirate Starship which is unnamed as of yet, the Xothic Arc Fighter and the Xothic Skiff.<br />
Once again these models are 1/250th scale and have each been uniquely hand sculpted by Bob. The detail is excellent and we will supply more pictures once we get them painted. We will also supply cards for the starships and statistics once we get pictures of them.<br />

The first two fighters turned with the majestic artistry of space combat and roared back towards the merchant ship. The other two starfighters finished there pass and accelerated toward Tor and Ejaw. The ion engines of the two starships flared blue pushing the fighters forward and the dark inverted wings flashed with the blackness of deep space reflected in the stars that flared in the distance.<br />

"Okay give me one second," and a pause over the comm equipment, then Ejaw continued, "Okay, I pulled up alot of information on our enemies on the interstellar net. I have rolled it all up into a file and sent it over to you. It may come in handy during this fight. Load it onto your flight comp and let's kick some alien butt!"<br />

"Wait, wait just a second. Do we want to fight these birds? I mean we still have a chance to turn, lengthen our distance and get out of here. We don't have military grade systems in these bombers, we can't be expected to help that ship against a superior foe like these aliens."<br />
<br />
"Are you kidding me Tor!" Exploded Ejaw. "You can run if you want but I hear the call of duty right now and I am engaging. We can't let these aliens think they can do what they want in our space. If we let one attack that we can do something about go unchecked then they have won already."<br />
<br />
"Alright, alright, I understand. I just didn't want any opportunity to go without notice. Okay let's go in. Let's take these first two birds as quickly as we can so we can keep the two sets of fighters split and only have to engage them one set at a time."<br />
<br />
"That makes sense. They are closing fast and remember there weapons have an extended range compared to ours," Ejaw noted.<br />
<br />
"Okay bring us about to heading one three four and accelerate to .0787, keep on my wing, and we will take the first pass down our starboard side. Shields on full."<br />
<br />
"Affirmative, shields on full and coming about to one three four. Accelerating on your mark."<br />
<br />
"Mark" answered Tor.<br />
<br />
The two old Battlehawks, kitted up in their black with white crossbones maneuvered slowly to their new heading and accelerated with a short burst of their Ion engines. Tor was pushed back into his chair slightly as his compensators whined to keep up with the added pull placed on his starbomber.<br />
<br />
The two Xothic fighters began to spiral at about a kilometer out and soon their lasers trailed blue blurred bolts at the two pirates glancing ineffectually off forward shields at this range.<br />
<br />
"You were right about their range," said Tor as he thumbed the toggle on his grip and depressed the firing stud on his stick before he had a Target Lock On.<br />
<br />
"Cool down there smartypants." Ejaw chided him. "Make sure you have good tone on your Target Lock before you fire Captain."<br />
<br />
Ejaw spun her ship into a pivot, not changing her direction of travel but using her micro thrusters to turn to face the trailing Xothic Fighter. Tor could hear the whine of the Target Lock On tone thru his headset as Ejaw depressed the button on her console to trigger her rotary blast turret, which had been specifically added to her starbomber for this mission. Multiple barrels on the turret wound around each other and rotated thru the firing mechanism allowing the turret to pump out many small but deadly beams of red laser light towards the Xothic Fighter as it rocketed away. The first few bolts lit against the screens on the fighter and soon the blue of energy shields were dissipating the beams. However, the next three bolts in succession seared through the barrier and slammed into the port wing of the alien vessel. The Xothic fighter leaped out of control and started to spin to that side as its acceleration pushed it into an ever wilder spin out towards open space.<br />
<br />
Ejaw rotated her ship back to the direction she was travelling and spoke into the comm, "I told you Tor its all in the tone, it's all in the tone buddy."<br />

This scenario is designed based on the preceding stories in this blog. Hopefully this does not get too confusing but if you wish to play through the same missions that are in this story then you can. This scenario will be followed by Part Two which will be the part of the mission involving the Xothic fighters. If you are playing both of these missions one player should play the Commorium in Part One and the Xothic in Part Two while the other player should play the Pirates in both. Alternately you could play the mission through twice with players getting a chance to play all sides.<br />
Just a disclosure, we have not played through this scenario so please let us know if you do and how the encounter went.<br />

<b>Mission Set-up</b><br />
<b>Commorium: </b>21st Squadron Fighter and Lt. Jan Terry.<br />
<br />
<b>Pirates: </b>Pirate Starbomber and San Rafael Tor, Pirate Starbomber and Ejaw Atta'shol.<br />

Use a 4' by 4' star map for this game. Place an asteroid model or marker in the exact center of the board. Designate the top of the board as the North Edge. The Pirate player writes on a piece of paper which corner of the asteroid base from which Ejaw Atta'shol and her starship is set up. This ship is powered down and does not appear on the map or on scans. The ship is set up within short range of this corner that the Pirate player designates when the ship is powered up.<br />
Place up to six other asteroid counters at random on the board.<br />
The Pirate player places the Pirate Starbomber piloted by San Rafael Tor with some part of the base within long range of the Commorium table edge.<br />
<br />
The Commorium player sets up Lt. Jan Terry and his starship directly behind San Rafael Tor's starship touching the edge of the board. The Commorium player has initiative to start the game.<br />
<br />
Both San Rafael Tor and Lt. Jan Terry are moving at Speed six. Ejaw is powered down and has a Speed of Zero, to move she must put points of Thrust to accelerate.<br />
<br />
<b>Special Rules:</b><br />
1. Ejaw must declare she is powering up and place her ship on the board in her regular movement phase on the turn she wants to appear. She cannot fire in this turn. The pirate player may then prepare a dial and move Ejaw normally in the next turn.<br />
2. Asteroids do not move. If a starship base makes contact with an asteroid counter or model base then that starship is destroyed.<br />

"That is one weird looking signal. Ejaw are you getting these on your holo?"<br />
<br />
"Affirimative Boss. They look like out of system craft, maybe Imperial stealth craft, or some kind of mercenary unit, tricked up to look like something they are not."<br />
<br />
"Ahhh, could be, but that doesn't sound right. We have been making enough noise yet to bring the Imperials in, and mercenaries wouldn't be jumping us, they would stay clear of one of my ops."<br />
<br />
"Look at those scans. The engine power levels are fifteen percent higher than anything I have seen in military use in the quadrant, and the weapons are military grade if not a little light. What do you make of these scans Ejaw?"<br />
<br />
"It couldn't be..." Ejaw's voice trailed off into her comm pickup.<br />
<br />
The always impatient Tor deplored her, "It couldn't be what???"<br />
<br />
"Let me get a closer look at these readings, and cross reference this on the interstellar net. Hold on."<br />
<br />
As Ejaw put her computer console to work on identifying the incoming bogies, Tor watched the scene unfold in front of him. The oncoming starships quickly closed with the fleeing merchant starship. Tor could see the blooms of blue laser bolts cut through the dark of space. The starfighters had opened fire on the merchant starship. The bolts ricocheted and bounced off the blue of the shields that encompassed the merchant tramp. The shields held on the first pass.<br />

Tor adjusted his comm equipment and the image of the merchantman captain in military shipboard uniform filled his screen. "...I repeat, this is the <i>CQS Slight Slip</i>. We are under attack from hostile starships. These are not FREP. These are aliens. You must come to our aid. Tor we know that is you and even you would not throw us to these wolves! Answer us. Tor do you copy!"<br />
<br />
The officer on the screen rocked as his ship took a hit from one of the enemy fighters. Tor's mind reeled as he came to the realization. For the first time in his life Rafael Tor was meeting the Xothic. The enemy that had appeared from out of the deeps of space. The hostile race that threatened to exterminate life in the Commorium Quadrant. Tor looked back out his cockpit window and his mind froze.<br />

"Yahoo!" whooped Tor, "He wasn't expecting that." He also breathed a sigh of relief into his cockpit, "It's good to see you Ejaw.<br />

Tor looped around the nearest asteroid, zooming his starboard wing along the surface of the rocky mass and pulling his yoke back to the right as he brought his starship back on track to head after the merchantman. <br />
<br />
"Now let's go see what we can do about that fatboy." Tor breathed into his comm taking the lead.<br />
<br />
"That's an affirmative boss," Ejaw replied. "We need those munitions if we are going to bring the fight to the Commorium government."<br />
<br />
"Yeah, that and my cut will help me get that new torque drive that I want to install. You know funding your Freedom front has certainly put me into a negative cash flow position."<br />
<br />
"Yes, but think of the end game Tor. Our Freedom front, as you call it, will bring you immediate fame and fortune when we succeed in overthrowing the Quadrant government."<br />
<br />
In a moment Tor's overhead holo screen, that illuminated his cockpit window, lit up with the image of the large merchant ship. It had turned and was now heading away from the asteroid belt at full thrust. Tor's on-board computer system picked out the merchantman and told him that it would be set for hyper space drive in ten minutes.<br />
<br />
"It looks like he is forgetting the resupply run because he is fleeing us as quickly as he can." Tor outlined the obvious to Ejaw.<br />
<br />
The two pilots gunned their engines and whisked off after the merchantman in a roar of colored light and exhaust. Their starships strained to reach maximum speed, their sleek bodies glinting in the light reflected off the star field around them. Space can be a lonely and cold place, reflected Tor. It was good that he had a wingman like Ejaw.<br />
<br />
Suddenly his nav computer bleeped pleadingly for his attention. He pressed his finger on the screen and scrolled the nav view. His holo computer showed the warning of a distance object, another starship scant parsecs away, but at the outer edge of his detection range.<br />
<br />
"What's this, someone attempting to break up our little party?" questioned Tor wryly.<br />

Robert had brought some of his painted miniatures that he picked up at Historicon and we used them for the Xothic side.<br />
<br />Joe was outnumbered and fought a mostly defensive battle. He kept his two star fighters together for the early part of the game and flew them effectively as a unit. This allowed him to get the opening hits on Robert's Xothic Fighter and damaged him almost to the point of blowing up his fighter. He had one hull hit left and flew the rest of the game with just the one hull, until he could pick up a "repair shields" card near the end of the game.<br />

Meanwhile the Xothic fighters piloted by Tim and Richard whirled and swirled around the tabletop sometimes reaching speeds of 10 or 11. They started to cause some damage to Joe's lead fighter by the end of the game. However, there was not a fighter lost during the game as the players maneuvered and countered each other.<br />
<br />
The game ran very well and after about an hour of playtime the players could run the rules themselves. I found this exciting to see new players pick up on the rules in this way.<br />

Some of the players felt that the starships should be given a top speed, to stop the players from moving too quickly and over shooting the tabletop. I still haven't seen this as a problem because the fastest I have ever seen anyone move of their own volition is 11 or 12 and they immediately slow down in order to stay on the board. So I don't see it as a major glitch. The second thing that was brought up was an idea concerning the Scanning and Triangulation free maneuvers. A valid idea was brought up that one of these should be used in attack and one in defense. Right now in the rules each has a defensive and an attacking effect in the game, thus making them very flexible. The idea was put forth that if you make one of these for attack and one for defense then the players will have to choose the appropriate maneuver based on what is happening in the game and may cause more indecision and play ability. We will have to test this idea.<br />

"Ejaw where are you?" Tor glanced over head thru his darkened cockpit window as he spiraled again into a tight turn evading yet another row of glancing blasts from the weapons of the Commorium Fighter. "Damn this pilot is good!" Tor had to give his enemy credit.<br />
<br />
When Tor had agreed to be the bait on the most recent Nastchruka Run he hadn't expected such an excruciating evasion to ensue. The Nastshruka Run was a common tactic used by Tor's pirate comrades to suck enemy fighter cover away from merchantman star ships. This tactic required a few important specific requirements to be successful. The target had to be on a run near some asteroids. It had to have at least two spots along a track that allowed pirate ships to hide. The whole idea was to sit in a suitable hidden spot with your star fighter powered down to minimum life support. Then as the mark flew bye, you lit your engines off, made a pass at the merchant ship and any support craft from behind as you zoomed past. Then your goal was to lead the enemy star fighter cover off into the asteroid belt or other suitable nebula. The trick being that this "bait" was to lead the enemy into an ambush in another area where your friends were waiting. Tor was in the midst of just such a Nastchruka Run now.<br />
<br />
Tor angled his shields off to the right and scatted around a large sized asteroid to the left, effectively blocking his enemy from firing at him. He leveled out and pitched downward toward another large sized piece of debris. There sitting behind the debris, nose of her black, skull lined bomber pointing directly at Tor, was his wingmate Ejaw Atta'shol.<br />
<br />
"Firing one, Tor please yaw right," came the ice cold voice of Ejaw.<br />
<br />
Ejaw Atta'shol was the first combat fighter to contact Tor about the belief's of their new initiative. They believed the Federated Empire of Planets government was not as they seemed. That the government was leading the people astray through over taxation and uncontrolled spending. A group of like minded military people claimed they had been on missions that went against the basic tenants of "freedom for the people" that the government claimed to be protecting.<br />

as lookouts, hiding information from the authorities, or doing whatever
else they could to protect him.<br />
In early 2020<sup> </sup>Tor met a representative from a group of disgruntled military personal who were tired of the authorities and felt that they needed a change in government. These people offered to bring legitimacy to Tor and his band of pirates and smugglers if they provided the basis for a new Republic. However, one does not rise to a position of leadership without doing some things to win those accolades. Rafael Tor is no different. He has always been a rascal and a scoundrel. He smuggles many different cargoes and has built an empire of starships to perform these illegal operations. Many people know that the cargoes his ships carry are circumspect but they are either bribed to keep quiet or blackmailed to allow them to travel between worlds. If officials or inspectors try to stop the flow of Tor's goods they have been known to disappear, which only adds to Tor's reputation as an evil man. Among the many goods that Tor smuggles, military hardware has always been a top priority.<br />

Tor however, believes that he is helping the less fortunate of the Empire. He believes supplying guns and military equipment to those that would want to fight against the governments in power is his calling. At some point in time, the story goes, that Tor was sending guns to a moon in the Delta Hydra quadrant. Here he ran into one particular inspection agent who stopped or seized three separate shipments to the moon Kore Bethia 3. Miners on that moon had ordered some guns from Tor in order to rebel against the company that owned the mining rights on the moon. This was a cause that Tor could believe in deeply. He had watched his own parents flounder in a lifetime of work on the moon that he was born on. His father had died in a mining accident and it was only after this point that he could convince his mother to give up her career in mining and come live in his palatial estate.<br />
As the story goes, Tor himself traveled to the moon Kore Bethia 3 and had the official who was stopping his shipments brought before him. The story varies on how the company official died but from that day forward Tor proclaimed himself San Rafael Tor.<br />
Some people joke, not to his face, but behind his back that some men would have added savior of the miners, or the smiling saint, or some such moniker to his name. However it is believed that Tor is much is too dumb to even come up with that kind of a saying. It took a dying man to give him the idea of adding the San to the beginning of his name as it is. I am not quite sure how to implement these cards. We should get them printed and added to the game but that would require a significant investment and we do not have that kind of money available at this point. You do not need the Tactic Deck to play the game, but it adds an element of randomness to the game. It also adds a new strategy to the game in the form of deck building.<br />

These cards are designed to be played during the turn as they become available to the pilots and as the situations in the game warrant them. In playtesting these cards we discovered that they would be utilized every turn as players found themselves in situations where they could take advantage of the effects of particular cards. In playtesting we simply put all the cards into decks and used them, in order to test the play ability of all the cards. So we didn't get into any actual deck building, but it is envisioned that you could tailor your deck to the style of play that you want to pursue in the game.<br />

This is because any cards can be played on any models in the turn. You are not stuck with only using a certain tactic with a certain model. We believe this adds elements of fun and strategy to the game while not limiting you to certain combinations.<br />
<br />The Tactic Deck also adds cards that are Payload Weapons. This type of extra weaponry is not a new concept to tabletop gaming but it is flexible because any Payload Weapon may be added to any model. The only limitation is that you cannot add a Payload Weapon to your model that is larger than that model can carry. This limits the smaller Fighter size ships to smaller Payload weapons that do not interfere as much with their superior handling, and make sense logically. As compared to the Bomber style ships that can carry larger Payload Weapons which makes more sense with their design.<br />

He spent his formative years learning about mining and he was always good with numbers. He couldn't wait to get away from Medelliun moon that he grew up on, always reaching for the stars. On his eighteenth birthday he enlisted in the military and immediately shipped off for the Commorium Marines. After three months of basic training did not shake Herbert loose he was stationed on the Commorium Star Destroyer Harvest Moon with a unit of the 3rd Marines. Here Herbert learned his way around a spaceship, grew some contacts in both the Commorium Navy and in the Marines to which he belonged and began a gambling habit that would stay with him throughout his life.<br />
On October 13th, 2305 Herbert Weinstenin was issued a disorderly discharge from the Marines after only a year and half of service and disappeared from existence.<br />
Weinstenin began his second career as a criminal by running petty street scams, selling contraband, and stealing starships. He introduced himself as Rafael Tor and his name change was complete. It was after stealing the small merchant vessel Hannah's Slop, and holding the captain hostage that he made his first big deal. He released his captive to the family for 100,000 CM and ran off with the vessel. With this one ship he began his merchant empire. But Tor wasn't just transporting goods around the Commorium Sector. He used this starship and the several others he would purchase to smuggle illegal goods around the Empire. Finally, Tor and several of his men were arrested and found in possession of contraband after returning to Medelliun with a large
load of Skutadot Wafers. Skutadot Wafers are a highly illegal substance derived from the pollen of Skutadot plants on the planet Nixsus. After being arrested, Tor tried to bribe the Medelliun judges who were preparing the case against him. However this was unsuccessful and after
many months of legal wrangling, Tor had the two arresting officers
killed and the case was dropped. Hereafter Tor's pattern of
dealing with the authorities was to either bribe them or kill them.<br />

He is also working on a new starship which we haven't commissioned yet. Perhaps we should make this a pirate starship and it would be the first actual pirate sculpting.<br />

We went to Kegscon on the previous weekend and did some playtesting on the rules. We used the optional "Energy" rule. I found it came in handy to get an extra turn or speed change that then allowed me to get a maneuver in that I wouldn't otherwise be able to. So it definitely adds more flexibility to the game. I also gave up my six several times, but my HEM saved me from any real damage due to these piloting errors, which I was able to do because of the Energy rule, so it certainly enhances your ability to survive. We will definitely have to give these rules more play time to see the level of impact on the rules. Has anyone else tried these rules and what have you found in your games?<br />

Starsfighters which are higher or lower than their opponents and change vector to angle for a shot can be simulated using this rule.<br />
1. Use a marker or chip as Energy markers.<br />
2. Fighters can carry up to two Energy while Bombers can carry only one. <br />
3. In the Command Phase when Dials are revealed you must announce the expenditure of your Energy.<br />
4. Energy can only be traded for movement, either a change in speed or a change in direction but cannot be used to pivot or take a free maneuver.<br />
5. To gain Energy a starfighter must use three or less Thrust in the Movement Phase and cannot be recovering from Fatigue.<br />
6. Energy may allow a starfighter to perform an Immelman that they would not otherwise be able to perform but the model gains double Fatigue.<br />

This rule is used to simulate the danger of allowing an enemy model to get into your rear and be following you with the ability to shoot at your model from right behind you. The Six is considered the area directly behind a starfighter. In Star Crush this is measure by tracing a pathway the width of the base directly behind a starfighter. If any part of an enemy model's base<br />

sharp gust of air as a bottle flew past my ears. By the sound that followed,
the culprit was quickly dispatched by a plasma bow. I was led down some steps
that seemed to go on forever. The sack was pulled from my head, and a gang of
